Abstract: According to lates studies, deterioration processes in archives of museums, among the National Museum of Malèk, will lead to degradation of some organic materials due to inconvenient storage strategies. As a result, proposing some fundamental ways for eluding and retarding the phenomenon is an inevitable career for conservators of this kind of materials. In fact, implementing preventive conservation not only can terminate to prolonging of work’s life, but also provides standard atmosphere for conserving and storing them. Archive of National Museum of Malek, which has maintained some valuable works of historical manuscripts, in respect of storing some important organic and inorganic heritage materials, has encountered to a great challenge because of providing optimum environmental circumstances. Here, in forth individual chapters, an attempt is made to weight up condition in the museum. Influence of environmental condition, such as relative humidity, light, gas pollution, solid particle pollutant, etc. and their inevitable results, such as changes in acidity, fungus effects, and microorganism bio-degradations in paper works have composed the forth chapter. The crucial goals of such investigations have been the study of each individual parameter’s ratio in this archive in comparison with convenient environments in standard archives; and, in conclusion, determining deteriorative factors in Malek National Museum’s archive. In this regards, all of substantial environmental features, such as light, relative humidity, temperature, and environmental pollutants in some given time spans are monitored. Finally, the conclusion of the thesis is presented and some practical considerations for eliminating or diminishing of deteriorative factors in Malek National Museum’s archive are proposed. Finally in the index of this dissertation, some identity cards have codified for Malek National Museum’s archive, inasmuch as these documentations have significant roles in management of preventive conservation.
