Abstract: The subject studied in the current thesis is not an issue devoted to a specific building but is a common issue in the monuments of Safavieh age. The tile decoration of these buildings has been admired by all visitors, yet some deficiencies in the glaze of these tiled has caused deterioration of the glaze against atmospheric conditions. To find any solution for this issue, the causes should be identified and studied first. In this study the causes of mentioned above issue are identified and studied.
